At Quality Life, we believe in giving back. Every month, the change that you donate is given to a different organization to improve the quality of life of others in our community, and in the world. When you donate your change, you’re donating to positive changes in our community, whether it be giving someone in need a meal, or helping dress a child for the winter. Immediately after our opening in April of 2022, we started collecting change by asking our customers if they wanted to round up to the nearest dollar amount. Here’s how that change has created positive change in our community since:

- Social Promise: In the month of September, your change was donated to Social Promise. Social Promise is a non-profit that helps improve education and health in Uganda, Africa. Your donations were enough to feed 18 school children in Uganda lunch for an entire year! You can learn more about their program and your donation’s impact here.
- Dress the Needy: The change donated in the month of October is going to help fund Kiwanis Barstow’s Dress the Needy program. Each community has different needs, and Kiwanis empowers members to pursue creative ways to serve the needs of children, such as fighting hunger, improving literacy and offering guidance**. Your change will help Kiwanis Barstow takes local students in need to buy clothes for the winter months like jackets, solid jeans, etc**. - Humane Society: The change we collect in the month of November will be donated to Barstow’s Humane Society. They help find homes for puppies, kittens, dogs, and cats in need in Barstow. You can learn more about their program and your donation’s impact here.
Our Team In Action
- Barstow High School Senior Sponsor: The change in December went towards sponsoring a Senior at Barstow High School. We were able to purchase the student’s cap and gown for graduation, prom ticket, and grad night ticket.
- Veterans Home: In the month of May, we donated your change to the Veterans Home in Barstow. The mission of the CalVet Homes is "to provide the state's aged or disabled veterans with rehabilitative, residential, and medical care and services in a home-like environment." This mission acknowledges the tremendous sacrifice California veterans have made and recognizes them for their noble service to our nation. - Laundry Love: With the change you gave in June, we were able to fund Laundry Love for the months of June, July, and August. The last Wednesday of every month, Laundry Love provides soap, fabric softener, and quarters to members of the community who need to use the Laundromat from 12:00-3:00 pm. Our Team In Action
- HELP Outreach: For the months of July and August, your change was donated to HELP Outreach. HELP Outreach stands for Hearts Extended, Loving People. Every Sunday, HELP Outreach prepares, packages, and delivers 400 meals for hungry members in our community. Your change funded the cost 1200 meals and 1800 waters. In addition to donating your change, our employees volunteer twice a month to help package the food! H.E.L.P. Outreach wants to spread their message of hope and compassion. They believe that a single action can make a difference in the community, and that collective action can greatly impact the world.
